According to the Children’s Cooperative Book Center, out of more than 3,000 children’s books reviewed in 2016 only eight percent featured African American characters; seven percent featured Asian-Pacific Americans, less than five percent featured LatinX American characters and just one percent featured Native Americans. This is not an improvement over 2015, 2014 or 2013. In fact, the number of multicultural books has stagnated for the past 22 years. But unto us, a child is given!

Lori Leak’s latest adventure is now ready! Her family takes a vacation to the Danish capital of Copenhagen and Lori makes it a big adventure. She makes new friends, learns some Danish language and  even celebrates Christmas!
